Join us in keeping film alive by sending your equipment in for repairs and servicing:
Submit a request using the repair form to get started.
We will follow up via email to determine if your equipment needs servicing or repairs.
Ship your gear in for a free initial inspection—there’s no booking fee
Upon arrival, each item is labeled with your contact information and stored securely in an individual bin.
An initial inspection is performed, and a detailed quote is provided for the recommended repairs.
An invoice is sent for the selected servicing/repairs.
After payment, the equipment is added to our repair queue. Turnaround time is typically 6+ business weeks from the date of payment. No work is carried out until the invoice is paid.
The repair is completed, and a notification is sent when it’s ready.
The equipment is carefully packaged and shipped back.

At The Film Wave, we’re dedicated to keeping film alive! We offer specialized repairs and services for a wide range of Super 8 and 16mm cameras. To get started, click the “Get Started” button above and we’ll be in touch with you shortly.
No, there is no booking fee. We’ll inspect your equipment and provide you with a free estimate — you’ll only be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
All repairs and servicing start at $99. You will receive an estimated quote prior to booking your repair. Once we have inspected the equipment, we will provide you with a repair cost and break down, before any work is carried out. All quotes are valid for 60 days, and failure to respond within this timeframe may result in a price adjustment. This repair cost may be subject to change based on any unforeseen issues during operation- which you will be notified of before any additional work is carried out.
Note: We only hold repair cameras for 180 days once quote has been sent. No work will be carried out until invoice is paid in full. Once paid, your order will be queued.
Yes, you will be notified as soon as we have received your camera.
To ensure a smooth process at The Film Wave, include a note with:
1. Your full name

Repairs are typically completed and shipped within 6+ business weeks from the date your invoice is paid. Please note that turnaround times may vary depending on order volume, the complexity of the repair, and the availability of any necessary parts.

All of our repairs and services are carefully conducted and inspected before leaving our shop. If your repaired item isn’t performing as described, please reach out to us, we’re here to help!
Unless otherwise noted, repairs and servicing come with:
A 30-day functional warranty (provided the item has been used with proper care).
Please note that this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, water or moisture damage, exposure to extreme weather, drops or impacts, improper voltage, or misuse of any kind.
This warranty applies only to the specific repairs and services agreed upon in the stated invoice, paid by the customer. No warranties are accepted outside of the 30-day window. The warranty covers labor only; customers are responsible for shipping costs and any additional parts required for the repair.
